Final FALAH Conference

We are pleased to announce the call for contribution for the final FALAH conference that will take place in Noumea, New-Caledonia on the 18th to 20th of March 2025.

The conference: “FAMILY FARMING, LIFESTYLE AND HEALTH IN SMALL ISLANDS, COUNTRIES AND TERRITORIES” will focus on 4 mains themes:

1 – What place and what stakes for family farming in small islands?

2 – Food system, lifestyle and health 

3 – What paths for co-construction of knowledges in the land and sea production practices and food systems of small islands

4 – What foreign aid and public policies for family farming in small islands?

Publication opportunities:

Presentations of the conference can be submitted for publication in the FALAH project collection in Open Research Europe journal: https://open-research-europe.ec.europa.eu/collections/family-farming-lifestyle-health/about

Note that for FALAH members (a minimum of one of the co-authors must be in the FALAH consortium): article processing charges will be covered centrally by the European Commission.

Please submit your paper (PDF) to falahconf2025@unc.nc before November 15th 2024, and include the following at the beginning of the subject line of your email: SUBMISSION FALAH FINAL CONFERENCE – Theme (1/2/3/4).

The decision regarding your response to the appeal will be made no later than 20 December 2024.

The programme and event guide will be sent to you at a later date.
