Workshop in Vanuatu: Methodological orientation test, methodological approaches and first results

For the 2nd FALAH workshop, the researchers, PhD students and future PhD students of the project will meet on 25th, 26th and 27th of October 2022 in Port Vila, Vanuatu.

The partners will meet each other on site:

• Vanuatu: MOET, VARTC
• Fiji: USP
• New Caledonia: UNC, IRD, IAC
• Australia: USYD, WSU, UOW
• Europe: Kula, IRD France

While the rest of the consortium will join the event online.


On the agenda:
- Transversalities between WPs: methodological issues and pathways

- Ideas and methods for building a collective, shared and relevant definition and issues of Family Farming in the Pacific

- Methods, timeline for research with Schools, communities, students

- Methodologies for understanding knowledge transmissions in agriculture, food habits & lifestyle

As in Fiji, the workshop will conclude with a field visit.
