First FALAH Conference in Port-Vila, Vanuatu 20th to 22nd of June 2023

the first FALAH conference “FAMILY FARMING, FOOD AND HEALTH IN
INTERTROPICAL SMALL ISLAND COUNTRIES AND TERRITORIES “ in Port-Vila, co-organised
by the Ministry of Education and Training of Vanuatu (MoET), the National University of
Vanuatu (NUV), the Vanuatu Agricultural Research and Technical Center (VARTC)

will take place in Port-Vila from 20 to 22 June 2023 at Holiday Inn Resort.

This first conference will deal with 3 mains axis:

Axis 1 - What type of family farming to ensure sustainability and resilience of Small Islands Countries and Territories in the face of global changes?

Axis 2 – Lifestyle transitions: what are the impacts on food and population health?

Axis 3 – Cooperation policies and the role of education in the formulation of public agricultural policies: what place for local knowledge?

There will be an opening ceremony on the 19th of June 2023 at 4.30 pm and a closing ceremony on the 22nd of June 2023

 at 5.30 pm.

The event will then start on the 20th of June 2023 at 7.30 am
